The Forest Practices Authority (FPA) coordinates a number of state agencies to deliver the State of the Forests Report (SOFR). The SOFR employs the Montreal Process Indicators to report on the State of Tasmania’s forests every five years.
IDEEA Group worked with the FPA to demonstrate the potential to align the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) with the Montreal Process Indicators. The work showed that the SEEA can provide multiple benefits beyond the report function of the current SOFR.
