As the world continues to grapple with COVID-19, we’re searching for the answer to an important question: What would happen if governments around the world considered natural capital as part of their road to recovery?

Current decision-making is dominated by economic imperatives and information systems that do not consider our dependence on nature. We want decision makers to take another look at the value of natural capital and the services it provides us.

This period of economic recovery is an opportunity to rebuild natural capital, alongside human, social and produced capital, for long-term societal benefit.

It was a pleasure to participate in this forward-looking conversation with our colleagues from around the world, including the Netherlands, Singapore, the UK and the USA.
